So finally Skyrim is out all over the world! I actually went to the midnight release (first time ever I did that) haha :p played till like 3:30 AM

So far I love it I'm stuck in some quest though in a cave and I can't figure out a puzzle >:(

So I was wondering what kind of race you guys chose and how far are you in blabla :P Tell us about your Skyrim experience so far :cheesy:

I chose to be a Wood? Elf, if that's the right name (it's the last race to choose) just because they're good with bows AND they're sneaky!

I'm planning on buying a horse, if that doesn't happen fast enough I'm gonna steal one ::-)

So yeah gonna go play some more now :p

Male Argonian. First waystone I found I picked the Thief perk.
I've been levelling up my archery skill for the most part, but I have switched to a combination of flame/dagger and healing/dagger for close quarters.

I did the intro, went through Embershard mine, went through black burrow, got my first shout. Still no dragon.....(except for the intro <_<)

Just completed "Unbound", the first main quest. It's intriguing so far, seeing as I didn't really like Oblivion at all. I'm liking it, and the graphics are pretty decent at 1080i on 360

Hold A for xbox I'm guessing its X for PS3 ? Just use the button you usually use to pick up things

I missed when they took out being able to carry stuff around like you used to in morrowind. They had it in fallout but the npcs couldn't detect you doing it (easy thieving)

I used to steal using a little different method(in oblivion) I carried things (either just carrying or using magic, dont remeber) where the npc didnt see it and just took it that way.

Just killed the first dragon, became Thane, and then went to go see the guys in High whatever on the mountain, lol. I'm liking it so far. Killed 2 dragons total, the first one I saw over head had my heart just racing xD I'm liking it. Have to play it in 3rd person or it bugs me though :/

I've finally bought myself a horse! YEY! currently saving up for a house in .... I forgot the name of the first city big city the one close to Riverwood :P

But yeah my Wood Elf is getting really strong Level 11 and my archer skills are pretty deadly now finally also very sneaky. I'm also buying my Elven armor so he's starting look pretty cool too :D

You can only buy one as far as I know for $1000, unless you find wild ones (which run away when dismounted) or steal, which return home when dismounted. They don't die, either.

I didn't buy the horse, I'm tired of my partner not being able to catch up lol. Really thinking about sucking it up and buying one though, if I have enough cash after buying potions. This troll beat the everliving crap out of me and I'm only at level 6!

How much are houses? I think owned horses stay where you dismount, or close to, but I know if you fast travel to a city they will be waiting at the stables.

The house in whiterun is 5000, then you can upgrade it for ~1500.

Owned horses stay where you dismount, if you steal one it walks back to where you took it from when you dismount and if a horse you own becomes close to death it will run home to wherever you bought it from. :)

Also another quick question, how do you dismount lol. I stole a horse then found one, (sad story to that one D: ) and I had to friggin button mash both times, tried pressing and holding every button on the controller and nothing worked!

Easiest way to make money for me so far is to just forge/enchant lots of stuff and just sell, sell, sell.

That is basically where I am, completed the companion quest line. Relatively short, but is definitely worth the prize you get.

I'm level 13, khajiit. Been duel wielding swords until I hit 50 sneak then I'll switch to daggers. In the skill tree you can unlock something, for get the name. But it increases your daggers damage by 15 times while sneaking. Definitely will be nice for the dark brother hood. I also started the quest chain for Dark brotherhood and Thieves guild. Can't wait to see what they're like.

Has anyone else found any other guilds other then the companions, Thieves and Dark Brotherhood?

level 22 Wood elf, Focusing on Stealth, One handed and Archery, while dipping into destruction and enchanting.

Completed the Main quests and have gotten pretty far with both the thieves guild and the mages in the College of Winterhold.

Yea, the x15 damage with daggers in the sneak tree is great, especially if you have a improoved elven dagger with 25 points of magic damage per hit. (Kills almost anything in 1 hit if you can sneak up on them.)

Got both the Dragon Call and Storm Call shouts so can easily take down giants. :P

Question: How do I assassinate someone? Like let's say I sneaked up on someone with a dagger in my hand to just press the normal "attack" button or do I hold it or what?! I always mess up :'(

From my experience you have to double tap it quickly.

But to be safe mash the attack button as fast as you can. :)

Edit: Turns out that you need a dagger that can one shot kill them to play that animation, so the only difference from oblivion is that if you have a dagger that can one shot kill, it will play the animation, letting you know that it is a stealth kill and it won't alert nearby people.

However, if you have a dagger that can two shot an enemy, then you just go nuts and mash, if you manage to get in 2 strikes before they turn around, the animation will play and will let you remain undetected.

I have to say my favorite skill was smithing, then it got boring when I reached level 100 for that skill.

I think most creatures can't. I've only seen wildlife and horkers come in the water, so I don't think it's a bug.

First find a weapon with that enchantment, go to an enchantment table, and remove the enchantment from the item, it will destroy that item, so hopefully it wasn't too important, :P Now you need a soul gem, which type depends. Now you can enchant any item with Raise Dead. (Including Bows)

I'm a level 100 Enchanter. :P

Wait what level 7 perk lol. Like skills when you level up each time and you can choose aspects of heavy armor, one-handed weapons, magics, etc.?

I'll put a point into smithing next if it lets me. I had put a point into heavy armor for damage reduction, and one-handed weapons for more damage.

Yeah I think I saw a comparison slider thing, Xbox is stuck between low-medium and medium-high. Some textures are of the medium-high quality on PC and others are lower quality. Just don't install it to the hard drive, there's been a ton of reports of textures failing to load and crap like that.

Both comics by Mizel and Hamada are so true. Can't even attempt to take down a giant, or hunt at all with my arrows. I accommodate for the drop over distance, only to shoot higher than I aimed. It's nice they're trying to help, but I wish I could turn it off. It makes getting leather harder than it needs to lol.

No they're nowhere near good enough, I rented it for my Xbox. I prefer console gaming anyways. Cheaper and it still lasts the 6-7 year run where the games are coming out on PC too. Graphics and modding and crap aren't a huge issue for me, and I don't wanna fork out the money for the extras. As long as I can run WoW, no more computers for me :D and I hate playing games like this with a mouse and keyboard, I have no idea why.

You shouldn't be. Fraps is about as good as it gets, it records in the same res as whatever you're playing in, so if you're runnin your game in 1080p fraps will produce a full 1080p video. Prepare for massive file sizes.

That's just scary man.... would you tell me your secret please?

Level 100 smithing!, You can create dragonplate out of the Dragon scales and bones.
Then you can create Daedric weapons with ebony and daedra hearts. :D

Then you add some extra bones for improoving the dragonplate and add some ebony for improoving the daedra greatsword. THEN, you find an item with +% 2 hand damage, disenchant it, get enchanting to level 50 so you can get skill increase bonus perk and then you use 4 grand soul gems to enchant boots, gauntlets, ring and a necklance with ~+25% 2 hand damage each improoving the swords damage with 100% total + any 2 hander perks you have.

THEN! xD
You get the same mask i got to reduce magic damage and improove that on the workbench with refined malachite to add even more armor. then last but not least, go get "The lord" standing stone perk to add EVEN more damage reduction both against magic and physical damage.

= Nearly invincible and sick damage. another tip is to NOT enchant your weapon so you can use the elemental fury shout to increase your weapon speed. :)

Warning: It can make the game a bit booring since you don't have to fear ANYTHING. xD

Just go trough the movie and check the stats on the items and check the skills at the end of the movie. :)

1 more thing.

To get the most out of smithing go and enchant a chest, wrist/arm, ring and necklance with fortify smithing and drink a +30% smithing potion when you are going to improove the armor.
I did that today and now, with my ~500 armor rating 30% magic reduction and 50 damage reduction from The lord stone, 50% frost resistance and 30% resistance to all magic i am now 110% immune to frost damage. XD

And when i eventually get enchanting to 100 i can enchant armor with insane +%smithing on 4 items and i will be able to improove the armor and weapons EVEN more. xD

Ha in oblivion I did about the same thing with my armor. Full daedric armor that were all enchanted with damage and magic reduction. Then I had a sword with some sort of good enchantment. Also created my own spell that drained all my mana but one shotted everything around me. Also is it weird I've always thought your username was extenzed?

You shouldn't be. Fraps is about as good as it gets, it records in the same res as whatever you're playing in, so if you're runnin your game in 1080p fraps will produce a full 1080p video. Prepare for massive file sizes.

Like I Will hear something 3 seconds before it happens, my bandwith is at max, and I have 4 GB of ram. :/ Although I'm not sure what I should make the FPS, I have it at 60 right now.

Jeeze extenzed, you went beyond me, I got 100 smithing and dragonplate, with a dragonplate helm. It lets you revive after you die several times in a row.

I actually haven't done much of the main quest at all, clocking more hours on side missions and the sort before the main. I finished the Companions and the Thieves Guild Quest lines. I also did the house glitch so I have a ton of gold and got several houses for free. I'm not too bored with it yet. But if I DO get bored I do still have Saints Row the 3rd that I haven't played much cause of Skyrim. lol

Still loving this game man. I've played 70 hours of it, and it's been non-stop fun times. I've pretty much completed all of the main stuff, apart from the rest of the College of Winterhold quests, and the Dark Brotherhood quests. I just have a heap load of Misc. quests to do now, along with some bounty quests from the Inns.

Still awaiting that all important PC patch in January that will make third party and official mods easy to apply (Skyrim Creation Kit/Steamworks), so that I can get some hi-res textures on the go, along with some performance tweaks.

I’ve felt that way from the beginning. The games cool, entertains me for small periods of time every once and awhile, but not one of those games I can’t wait to get home to play. More of a…. play when I need to relax and not get into anything crazy kind of games.

I play as a dark elf battlemage who is really strong in one-handed combat and sneaking.

It's aesthetically very nice and there's a great deal to do if you don't mind the glitches. It's the kind of game you can space out for hours on and -as a point which may be either positive or negative depending on your persuasion-, it feels somewhat like a more advanced, modernised version of, say, Diablo II (or perhaps that's just me).

Honestly? It's nice. It's fun.
I still prefer the Dragon Age: Origins level of focus on character & NPC development, however.

I would wait until later on in this month to apply any updates to the game. Not all of the updates work for every body, due to them all being purely third party mods.

Bethesda are releasing a patch some time this month which will integrate Steamworks with Skyrim which will enable third party mods (that have been checked and tested) to be automatically applied easily using this utility. No fuss.

Ya for anyone who has yet to get this game.....i have no idea what your waiting for...Skyrim is great.

Its actually one of the First Elder Scrolls games that i actually really really enjoyed, no idea why but i just didnt get into the other as much as i did Skyrim.
