Worth it?

So my cousins been looking for a desktop through kijiji for awhile (he's a kijiji wizard haha) and he wants one that he can play BF3 on

Specs:
custom built tower, with 4gb ram, 1tb hd, win 7, amd dual core, ati radeon 4250, 14 usb ports, 3 cooling fans, lcd monitor and gaming keyboard and mouse


So first question is.. will it run BF3? and 2nd.. is it worth an iphone 3G and 50 bucks?

And it'll probably run, but the graphics card is weak in this one. It should meet the minimum requirements but it's wayyy below the recommended requirements.

I agree. Also, depending on the speed of the processor, I would generally advise your cousin to try and get his hands on something with a quad-core processor, because BF3 can be pretty heavy on the system quite a bit of the time.

I have 4GB RAM, 1.2GB ATi Radeon HD 5 series, quad-core processor, and I still have trouble in some parts of the maps with my FPS dipping to a worrying level.

However, because the frostbite engine that EA DICE use is so well-done, your cousin could run the game on a 'Medium' setting, and it would still look pretty damn smart, compared to a lot of other games. It's playable, and that's coming from a graphics snob, moi.

I'd still advise a couple more cores for the processor, however, and as Linux said, a better graphics card would help lift a lot of the stress that the game would put on the system.

Processor is 2.2ghz and the iphone is worth $150.

So the processor is below min requirements. I'm thinking he should keep looking around, christmas is coming fairly soon too haha

You can just compare with people telling you the specs lol.

-But yeah, pictures with a description would help.
