I swear I thought it was $20, but now I see that it's $27. Is it just me or has it always been $27?

It was only $22 during beta. They said once the final product released it'd go up to "regular" price.

Ah, so I assume $27 is the regular price.

I got it for 4.?? in infdev, or or maybe slightley later.

But yes, it sells for 26.99, and it will be receiving more updates, and stay at that price, atleast so says twitter. So you will still get new updates, but the final price is 26.99, not bad, it was planned to be at about 40 or so dollars.

I got it for like $15 back in beta. It went up for the alpha release and again for the final release. Also is the server still down?

I want to play MineCraft, but I don't know if I can spend close to $30 on a game that I probably wouldn't enjoy :X

30 dollars on a game is pretty cheap i think. I bought it for 15 back in the day because some friends wanted me to. I thought I wouldn't like it, but it turned out to be a lot of fun, i'd invest 30 in it knowing what I do now.

My main problem is, I think it looks like crap, that's just me though. I want to play it to try it out, as you have to I suppose. But I can't get over the overwhelming feeling that I'm going to hate it

Graphics aren't everything.

The game isn't about graphics. The point is for everything to look like blocks. If you want good graphics look up Minecraft HD texture packs.

I got it for $15 back in day as well. I'm with Trunks... I didn't even know if it'd be worth the $15 I spent on it, but I ended up enjoying it alot. I'd definitely pay $30 for it now.

I know this is an older post, but it still stands true to anyone feeling the same today.

Mojang has said before, if you don't know if you'll like it, just go ahead and pirate it, as long as you do buy it to keep supporting them if you like it. But do try to keep pirating it as a last resort. Tons of videos and mini-games in the game to keep you entertained.
