Every studio that closed since 2006, If i counted correctly thats 100. And thq is barely surviving. prob a few others nearly on this list. and nex gen is right around the corner and will cost us more devs. very weird state for the industry

Idk I just read an article about how Sony and Xbox are holding their breath on the next gen and won't be teasing at E3. The source was somebody who does the E3 thing.

I hope the next gen doesn't come for another couple years honestly...

Well. I consider a 2013 launch to be pretty close honestly in a gen this old. Really, anything older than that and gen gets stale. It's already feeling stale. Random; I just got a wii and I'm really glad I got lots of backlog to playthrough, there is like 0 games coming out. And I dont mean that like people usually mean where they feel no good games, there is like 0. on gamestop there is 15 listed games.. you can really tell Wii U is right around the corner and that Nintendo and other companies are supporting it even less than they have in the past couple years. Also another random statement I'll add to this off topic post, I don't think we'll ever see a #1 console ever again less supported than the Wii.

Wow. That is alot... I personally hope that the Next gen won't be released until say 2015-2018
It gives the developers Time to start creating good games for these consoles. I mean, with every new console the first few games are horrible, as the developers don't understand what it can or can't do. So I say release the Next gen to the Dev's and let them stuff around with it first. It would see an increase in next gen hype and sales. aswell as better games.

I would not go as far as saying the first games are horrible, Lots of gems early on. The problem is that they are few and far betweeen as other studios take longer to switch over to the new gen leaving the first 1-2 years a light field of games. I completely disagree with 2015 to 2018 as well. Dang thats way way to long a gen. I'd switch to pc gaming if gens were that long.

That's a crazy amount of gaming companies going out of business. Kinda sad.

29 in 2009, not surprised because that's right after the economy started going down the crapper.

a late 2013 or a 2014 release would be okay. I'll probably just switch to PC anyways
