Age of Empires II : Conquerors Expansion

I've downloaded this game 3 days ago. The last time I played this was 1 year ago. After installing and starting the game, I found the game play colors totally corrupted. 1 year ago, I used CRT Monitor. Now I am using LCD monitor. I though it might me the problem of the resolution.So I changed the resolution of the game. But no change at all.

Note : I am totally novice at these. If you guys can find any solution,please explain it a bit detailed :cheesy:

Right click on the exe. Select the "properties" option. Go to the "compatibility" tab. Select all of the boxes under "setup". Don't choose a compatibility mode. Tell me if it works :D

Sorry, but I forgot to mention that I've already checked it. it doesn't work.

My GC is also up to date

ok next attempt. Close the explorer.exe process when after you start the game. I believe that putting this into a .bat file will work:
taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
C:\path to your\game.exe
explorer.exe
exit

When you want to start the game use the .bat file, not the .exe
