View Full Version : CS Server to come in November?

Well as you know I have had some internet issues over the past 2 months and couldn't get that CS server that i wanted for the server for september and for october its kinda too late to get that deal. They backed off since i took too long :mad1:

but it may come in november if i can find another good offer in time, any thoughts on this from you guys?

Perfect timing... I will be finishing my studies at the start of November so sounds good to me =D.

but will you be able to play? don't u live in australia? lol - server is most likely to be in New York or somewhere in the east cost USA

But i have played in NY servers b4, ping around 100-150 =P

wow thats pretty good, at my old connection i used to get that when played california servers lol, much closer than you and NY


Well, is going to lagg here if you don't have the server on Europe

if this works out great i want to sell some admin spots on it for around $0.50 to $2 per month - depending on what they want and of course for GFP - $$ is for people that doesnt want to post to get gfp lol but if it works out i may get a server in the UK as well :D i wont lag there - around 50-80 ping


Well we cant do anything about that because LiNuX lives in the united states and would like to not lag himself :p

i have a good connection now, my ping is like 1 or 2 on NY servers lol but my old connection it was around 20 or 30 :mask: but i do plan to start in NY and just spread out, hopefully bring in more gamers into the forum

Yeah i think that having these servers will also be a good source of advertising :p So we should have lots of new members a day lol. Although it depends how big the servers are going to be

well i plan to have a 12 man server at first, and maybe get a 16 slot one later on but more than that usually gets too crowded and becomes unfun

and since we got the irc channel working now thats another good source of advertising as well :D

hmm i think 16 slot would be best because 8 vs 8 is really fun XD. 6 vs 6 is fine too though. Although i hope its not too much more for the 16 slot than the 12 slot

when i first get one i have to get money for a 12 man first, i cant afford 16 man one since im paying for it all by myself lol and without people willing to pay for admin monthly i cant go that high at this time

but all in time it should come

Have you got any plans into what you are going to make the server... like funmaps or something?

probably wont be just funmaps - we'll have certain maps on rotation but here is my idea on them

fy_iceworld

de_dust
de_dust2
de_aztec

these are usually the popular maps out there and hopefully brings in more people to play in the server and into the forum but i will take suggestions and feedback on that too
