so, the movie was released today in Japan.
Did anyone get to see it already?

I am so happy to hear that Utada Hikaru released a song for this movie.

I will not post any spoilers here, but the plot twist totally caught me by surprise and I am still trying to comprehend the twist.

Do you happen to know an American release date? Evangelion is one of my favorite anime series, but I haven't seen any of the movie rebuilds yet. Partly because I don't wanna watch half and then have to wait for the rest of it, but also because I don't have money to buy the movies lol.

From the wikipedia article about the movie it looks like an international release is planned some time in 2013. Can't find any information elsewhere :(

You could always watch the sub version, if you give it a couple days I'm sure someone will sub it.

I'm too used to Evangelion in english, I wouldn't be able to watch a sub version. Whatever language I first see an anime in is the one i tend to prefer.

i agree. I am bilingual but which ever language I first see a movie or tv show in is the language I stick to.
Plus its hard to be doing something and watch when the stuff is subtitled. I would have to put aside time to watch, which is pretty tough when you are busy...

Anyhow, still no luck getting tickets to the movies in tokyo.
Evangelion is totally sold out.
