Email problem

I just purchased the pc version of minecraft and I haven't received the email containing the instructions on how to create my username any suggestions on what I should do

You had to create an account to purchase minecraft. You use that account to log in

they require you to create a username after purchase I was supposed to receive an email with my receipt and instructions on how to do so which I never did

Did you purchase minecraft from minecraft.net (http://minecraft.net)? Only way I can find to purchase from there is being logged in to an account. Check your spam folders for any emails as well.

Please do the following things for me. Download the mine craft.jar (.exe?) file from mine craft.net. Run the file and allow it to update. When prompted to log in use the username and password you used when you purchased the game. Tell me what happens next.
