I spent an hour and a half on this out of boredom cause the new mods are announced this weekend. But after an hour and a half, I grew bored and ran out of ideas, then gave up. So the first half is the remake, then it kinda slinks back into the Christmas version. So...whatever.

Twas the night before promotion, when all through the boards
Not a person was stirring, not even Synge's chords.
The mice were were all clicking in despair,
In hopes that the news soon would be there.
Eggs was nestled all snug in his bed,
While visions of banhammers danced in his head.
And Mizel in her ‘kerchief, and Eps in cap,
Had just settled their brains for a long evening’s nap.
When all through the forum there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our beds to see what was the matter.
Away to the desktop I flew like a flash,
Flung open IE and hoped it wouldn't crash.
The light on the face from a midnight glow,
A puzzled look on the cat watching from below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a new mod post, and eight comments, hear hear!
With a little old processor, slower than a stick,
The computer, it struggled, when I gave it a click.
More rapid than eagles, the cursors they came,
And LiNuX whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Lykos! now, Ziek! now, Departed and Bob!
On, Trunks! On, Crae! on Lemon and Nuke!
To the edge of your seats! to the top of the post!
Now scroll away! scroll away! scroll away all!"
As unsteady hands wavered, thoughts began to fly
Who had climbed up the ranks, way up in the sky.
So up to the thread the cursers they flew,
With the post full of info, only LiNuX knew.
And then, one arrived, a bit of a goof
To hear the news, none other than Foof
We all scratched our heads, frantic, looking around,
Reading down the post, the new mod was bound.
He was decked in green, a new forum title,
To find who he was was no less than vital.
A bundle hammers, flung on their back
Look there's a spammer, gone with a *SPLAT*
Their title it twinkled! They were just so merry!
Their grin wide spread, the new GF fairy!
Their droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the anticipation of the rest anxious to know.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
