Bing Search

I started using bing a lot, I enjoyed it more than Google until today. I go to search a few things and this pops up.

Can I asked what you liked better about Bing over Google? I'm kind of curious because I haven't tried any other search engine besides Google in a looooong time haha

The main thing is Bing gives you free stuff. I got almost 50 dollars in Microsoft points from Bing in the past year. So if they're going to pay me to use their search engine, I'll do it. I also like how the videos are set up on Bing better, instead of showing a list with a link, it shows a picture, with the title and the length of the video.

I use search to watch videos 50% of the time, so that's another big reason for me. Other than that they're very similar, they're all set up about the same. You get different links when you search, but I always find everything I need on the first 2 or 3 links. Plus both searches use your cookies to show most visited websites first.

Whelp...guess I'm gonna have to start using Bing for MS points, even if it does crap like this. Kinda of annoying for that to pop up. Don't get why they'd captcha a search engine.

Yeah the free stuff is nice, you can also get other things, mostly 5 dollar gift cards. I've gotten a few for amazon. Can't be much with 5 dollars, but you can buy DvD's and some old games with them. Bought a DBZ trading card game for GBA. Also bought a tennis game for the Wii. both under 5 dollars.

Wow, decent. So does it automatically do it once you're signed in with a Live account? I wasn't able to find any settings about where MS points/reward points are deposited or anything.

Once you make an account and sign in you should start getting points. When ever you use bing to search you get 1 point for ever 3 searches. When you search something you should see this in the top right hand corner.

Tells you how many points you have and what not.

Too look at the rewards, you just click the arrow in the corner there and it should drop this diwn

Then you just click the redeem button.
You can also click the rewards button and it will show you different ways to get points.
There is a limit to 30 points for searches a day.

Just found out that it's US only :( they used to have it in Canada but dropped it temporarily(?) for whatever reason a while back. Back to Google I go D:
