Free Comic Book Day 2014

Did anybody else make it out to a shop for free comic book day today? I hit two, got a pretty good haul

Iron Patriot wasn't free, had to buy it myself haha. I also got an Animal Man trade paperback for my girlfriend but didn't take a picture cuz I didn't want her to see

Nice haul! I should have thought of going to 2, dammit! Too bad the only other comic shop from me is like 45 minutes though. AND they had Deadpool artist Mike Hawthorne there signing autographs :( Oh well.

But yea, we got almost the same ones as you haha Also got Guardians, Spidey and Future's End along with Zombie Tramp, Hellboy and The Tick.

Does your gf like Animal Man? I don't really care about him either way, but Animal Man crossed into Swamp Thing for awhile. It was pretty awesome.

The second one was a video game store that also sells comics, was 5 minute down the street from the comic shop. It was cool haha.

My friend accidentally picked up two Megaman X comics. The second shop had them flipped to display the Sonic side. He was in disbelief when we got in the car and I noticed my Megaman comic was double sided aha.

Nice, I have coworkers who took their kids and they've been reminding me for the past 3 years. I've never been that big into Comic Books although I have a few.

Moving to Edmonton in the fall though so I'll finally be able to get into MTG, tabletop games, and, free comic day :D

The current Swamp Thing run is really, really good. So is Aquaman. They took 2 underrated superheroes and made them pretty bad arse :)

I've only read Guardians so far, which was enjoyable (but it made me want to pick up the actual series again, fffff). I've been dedicating all of my free time to watching Gurren Lagann the past couple days haha. I'll let you know how each one is (and i'll make my gf give me a review of animal man)
