What kind of shooter is your favorite? Mine is a 3rd person shooter, I dont know why I put 2nd person, is there even such a thing? I feel quite stupid right now.

Yeah lol I thought that was funny second person being on there

I think MGS and Splinters Cell and even GRAW on a high difficulty are the best for strategy. Someone needs to release a strategy/shooter that requires real thought. I didn't like the last SC the trust meter really p*ssed me off.

Thats because it IS the kind of game that requires you to think, you have to think ahead to make sure you don't get screwed over.

Well there is CoD4 it's called Modern Warfare so I'm guessing you get to stop nukes in it.

I have to wonder why you didn't include scrolling shooters, but i guess people just dont play them much anymore:[ No love for Gradius, M.U.S.H.A., Lightening Force, R-Type,etc.? Well anyway i guess id have to go with FPS then, i tend to like them more than 3rd person shooters.

You are one of the only people I know (besides myself) that enjoyed that game.

For me it has to be Gears 1 & 2 and COD4

Really? I thought there were a lot of people that liked Psy Ops. I'm sorry nobody else picked up the franchise and came out with the sequel. I love that game and have played it through countless times and still pop it in regularly.

My son plays COD4 on his Mac laptop and loves it. It looks great.

I'd love to play Gears but don't have the equipment.

1st person is a 100 times better than 3rd person. All shooters should be in first person, very few games pull of a good 3rd person shooter.

In a 2nd person shooter video game, the player would control the guns, but see the action from the perspective of the person (monster?) he or she is shooting.

2nd person is the antagonist. Viewing through the opponent's eyes.

could be interesting actually.

Has any video games attempted that?

siren offers a 2nd person perspective, but the entire game isn't controlled through it (you can "sightjack" and view through the enemies eyes to find the safest route, or sometimes you can see the monster running up to attack you.)
