Forum Downtime Explanation (11/25/07)

Well I dont know how many of you noticed but for about the past 6 hours or so, the forum was down with a major database error. I found out about 45 minutes ago when I turned on my PC and it took about that much time to fix it.

Sorry if this cause any trouble but this happened 3 hours after I went to bed and you could say it was perfect timing because it found the only time I wasn't online.

The forum had a database error of its sql table - i wont mention which one for security reasons because it may still have a few bugs that I have to look over.

Sorry once again and I will get to fixing all the problems as soon as i can.

dont we all - its really funny how the table corrupted at exactly 7 AM Est. maybe it was a conspiracy or a time bomb set the night before lol

I was on about 8am Eastern, I started to read the night's posts when my IE said the website had an error, I kept on trying and then quit.

no hacker, i'd detect it - the server would shut down if anyone tried to hack it without authorization :) you wouldn't get sql database error

no - there are millions of spammers out t here that try to find different email addresses out there - i might change the admin (@) Gamers-forum.com email to webmaster (@) Gamers-forum.com

i doubt it lol - it wasnt a hacker or anything - i just found out it was my host's fault - their whole sql database failed on one part or another and they didnt know wtf to do with my account so they left it - all they had to do was reupload a backup but instead they waited for me 6 hrs to fix it myself - hate that
