Stop using the AR and pick up a BR. yea the AR is good enough, but if you wanna be up there with the big guns, you need to pick up the awesomeness of the BR before running back into battle.

I've made it my personal halo "goal" to stop using the AR so much. and YES, having a goal in a video game makes me a huge loser, but at least this way I can challenge myself while playing.

far as im concerned, the BR was the ONLY gun in halo 2, so this is moot. What else could they use besides duals

I've noticed a lot of good players using the BR.

You can do 2 bursts and a melee at close range. But the AR has a slight advantage.

BR and AR are even at medium range.

At slightly past medium and further the BR owns the AR.

I've got to learn to aim though if I want to use it

Sorry Scott but that is false. The SMG is in Halo 3. Since HAlo 3 is the last Halo of the trilogy, Bungie wanted to add weapons from Halo CE and Halo 2. The Pistol is from Halo CE but it has the capability of Halo 2's Magnum. The BR is put in Halo 3 cause it pretty much a reverse of Halo CE. Just look at the Driving in Halo CE and 2, the cyro tubes, the ships, the landing on the forerunner artifacts, and so on.
