what browser are you using? windows has a built in popup blocker if you have that enabled - you can also use google toolbar, seems to work for me lol, so far i blocked 1974 popups in the past few months that i've been using it

if you get popups out of no where even when you aren't viewing web pages, it could be a virus or spy ware, just go to download.com and search for spyware or anitivirus and you should get a few decent results for scanners

ok if its with everything you have a spy or adware

go here and download a spy/adware remover and scan your computer - http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=adware&tag=srch

i cannot tell you with 100% certainty which of those programs to use because i never had that much problems with pop ups

i am "meant" to be clean of spyware, worms etc could be the cookies

if you think its cookies problem then do this in IE:

On top click Tools >> Internet Options >> Under Browsing History click DELETE >> Delete Temporary internet files >> Delete Cookies >> Delete browsing History >> Close your Browser >> Restart

you can even restart your computer if you want - but since you said you are "meant" to be clean of spyware, it's not how it always works out, I am familiar with that problem even though I have rarely experienced it.

if that doesnt fix it, just tell me when all the popups started appearing
