Help!

When i tried to save a gift today on GIMP it would not let me.
It said
Writing denied

I was using random lettering i tried every file you can save as in gimp i figured it might be a space problem and cleared about 200 mb (bitmap images and old PSD's) still did not work
It did the same thing in photoshop finnaly i copied and pasted and saved in paint thank god that worked!

Any Ideas why this is happening?

you could have tried to save it as another file name - but the only explanation i can give to that is that the file became read-only - or the folder where you tried to save the image was changed to read-only permission

Go To Paint Its On Any Computer Click Capture And Click The Gimp Page And It Will Copy The Screen Then Just Crop It And Save It There.

An easy work around.. but I have no idea of how to actually solve it.. my best idea would be the same as Linux's.
