I have installed a new mod which gives me the option to choose how many characters a certain post should be. a minimum character per post. The default now is 30, that is not a lot. You have to make your posts at least 30 characters to avoid spam.

Now i want to ask your opinion, what is a fair number to set the minimum character per post?

I was going to put 50 but i decided to go 30.

I'm asking for the opinions of all the members on this forum. What do you think i should do?

first of all, lol @ hollerfromelz lol, unconstitutional* u spelled that wrong lol, forgot a "t", but anyway, i say leave it as it is now 30 characters, it isnt that much, the posts i make make out to about 100 characters each i guess

I voted for "75 or more" because I know that I talk a lot (well, apparently, not now,) but I do, and you never know...that would suck if I was limited to 30 characters... :-[

u misunderstood twigz, its not limitting to 30 characters, but a minimum of 30 characters per post, meaning, you will get an error message if your post has less than 30 characters, not that you cant write more than 30 characters

Ohh...then if I had to vote again...I would say 30 is pretty reasonable...I thought it said you CAN'T do more than 30 characters...boy, was I wrong...

I think it should be lower, like 15. Because you don't always have to say a lot to get to your point. :-\

well that can be true, but it can also cause spam, like messages like, "i dont know" -- thats 11 characters, and thats spam, and the point of that post is that the person does not know, see what i mean? "i dont know, but googled it for you and here is the link (link here)" thats a little bigger and it has a point, its helpful, and no spam

Your right there, but couldn't you just warn people not to do that. It's just being kind of stupid if you have no meaning and you waist a post. Those people are ruining it for all of us........ :'(

Yea, I know they don't listen. That's what I was thinking too. If they spammed too much to ban them.
