Groundhog Day Maintenance

Today my host is supposed to do some maintenance work on the server that will last a few hours. They say they expect no downtime but I don't believe them.

If you experience some downtime just assume it is from the maintenance work. If you feel the site is getting slow, it could be the exact same reason.

No information will be lost, I have full backup of directory and database from less than two minutes ago :D

Sorry in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but it is to boost up the security of the server.

maybe, but supposedly this maintenance of theirs is over and it went without any downtime, im impressed i guess lol

It went down, and I went and took a shower for I don't know, 10 minutes and when I came back it was up.

no they didn't do it, the guy that was supposed to had something bad happen to his family, he ran to the hospital for something, i don't know full details :( but i hope the guy and his family is ok

lol that was my fault, trying to fix some bugs locked me out of my own folder, takes 10 minutes to fix if it does lock me out - used to take an hour but i learned my lesson after the 5th time a month ago lol
