PC Games - Windowed Mode

I just got Age of Empires 2 today, and I was wondering how to put it into windowed mode, so I can still msg people via MSN, without using Alt-Tab. The -window or -w thing in the target doesn't work, only forces the splash startup to go to windowed.
Any ideas ?

It should be like any other game, just go to the options panel.
You should be able to switch from full-screen to windowed.

Yeah like he said, usually Esc key will open it up.

i used to play AOE II before, but it was on a full screen mode i believe

just screw around with the options and u'll find it, thats how i figure out stuff these days :D

I looked in the options, it's not there.
Not all games support windowed mode.
I was wondering if there was a way to force it to windowed

question: is it a huge problem to play in full screen mode? usually when I play and press alt+tab, the thing minimizes pretty quickly with no problem and alt+tab is actually faster for me to utilize than my mouse
