I hate my Xbox.

I think I have to send it in to get it repaired, and I'm irritated out of my mind.
I spent a good half an hour going through Xbox Support and trying to figure out what's wrong and it looks like a Hardrive Failure.

Well, I turn my 360 and the green ring turns red after about a minute and the screen stays black. It went from three parts of the ring being red to only one part.
It's so much fun.

I tried unplugging all the connecting wires and letting it sit for a few minutes before turning it on again.
Same problem.

If anyone else has any idea what could be wrong, let me know please. I'd would so rather not send my 360 in for repair.

i dont own the 360 myself but have friends that do, i'll try to ask around if they had similar problems in the past

but the support you got is microsoft's best :-P lol, wonder what their worst will be like (60 days put on hold with bad music)

But if you don't want to send it in just open it up and see whats wrong but sure you don't wanna do that. Just go to pawn shops I got a ps3 for 70 bux with a game lol

Usually if you send in your Xbox 360 to Microsoft they will send you a free new one in compensation.

Yes, sadly if your 360 has to be sent back to microsoft for repair.
But i read in this month's gamepro that if you wrap it aound a towel then the heat might get the thing working again. Not sure if it's a myth or not though.

You get the Ring of Death. When did you buy your Xbox? If in 2008, or by the end of 2007, then there is something with your Xbox. If in like early 2007, middle 2007.. well, it's the ring of death and there are some ways to get it fixed. I'll PM you them.

someone else said there was a 90 day wait for him and then i heard 2 months somewhere else
