CBOTW - Nominate a Character!

Welcome!




This is the official "Character Battle of the Week!" Now, let me explain how this works. In the CBOTW, you must nominate a video game character. (i.e: Altair from Assassin's Creed) With this nomination, a picture of the character must be provided. Once that is done, I will put the character in a poll, and we vote for our favorite based on popularity, strengh, just whatever. Throughout the week, we will have a vote, and whoever comes out on top, will qualify for the CBOTM, "Character Battle of the Month," and if the character then beats that, we will have a "Character Battle of the Year," and whichever character wins that, will hold the title of Video Game Character of 2008.


Here are more complex rules of the competition.


The character must correspond to the correct year. (I.E: Let's say Altair, will not be allowed, nor will Master Chief. Why? Because the game they had the star role in was in 2007, and not 2008. Only characters from 2008 video games will be okay to participate.
Characters from games that have not been released yet may not participate
There are only 5 spots in this CBOTW, CBOTM have the same number, but CBOTY *may* have 12 slots.

Master, entry not accepted. Master Chief's latest video game (Halo 3) was released in 2007, not 2008.

Were Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes was released in 2008.

I'm sort-of bringing this thread back to life after I totally forgot about it. I know, it looks so dull, but after all the nominations are in it's fun.

Also, I have another idea. We will now be taking bets for this. This is how it works. Once all the nominations are in, I will say you may now be allowed to bet. I won't start the poll for a couple of days allowing you guys to bet.


5 GFP - per bet!

And how it works is everyone will give me the 5 GFP, I will count it up, and that is the prize money for the winner. Say someone votes character #1 and that character wins, and let's say that the total bet is 300 GFP, I will distribute evenly and see who gets 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
(Note: This idea is a work in progress, if LiNuX approves then awesome)

This is a bump.
I'd like to say that this idea hasn't been succesful, but I won't stop it from being completely burried.
I give this thread another 2 days. If it doesn't work within that time, we will compete with what we already have.
