Anybody think we need a chatbox?

On my old forum, they also used vBulletin as there web server, so I'm guessing its a possibility that we can get a chat box, seeing as how my old forum had one. You just type in a quick message, click submit, and when the page reloads, your message is in the box, and you can see other messages people put. Anyone can use it, and it's something fun to do when you're bored. Anybody else think this is a good idea?

Bingo lol - and that helps out the overall post count in the forum

and if you want to chat with people - i suggest you get IRC - it is form of a chatbox which is much more secure with a lot more features - we have a channel there

i am trying to set up a flash IRC program here on the forum so you don't have to download anything - you can go in there and chat stuff

Most shoutboxes are exploitable AND some of them are resource hogs. and of course they take away from the forum activity.

You all can get together in an external chatroom, I don't mind that but there won't be a shoutbox/chat box here.
