I've got a music website/forum up!!! Its all about music and bands!

The website is just about done! just have to add a little more content and it will be finished!

As for the forum it is all done. We are currently looking for active members to share their love and knowledge of music!

Plus the forums need bulking up on posts ;)

What musicjust is, is a website for bands to come and advertise themselves.

Its also for fans to come and talk about music, ask questions, and have their questions answered.

Its a quite new forum at only 32 members (Very few active :'( ) and is looking for more members!

Bands who come to advertise are what we at Musicjust call "Supporting Bands"

Supporting bands get their own special thread on the forum for them to post updates, member profiles, tour dates, etc, and to get feedback from fans. Supporting bands also get their own special section on the website for member profiles, tour dates, etc, and anything else about them. How they were created, Things like that.

Musicjust will also have interviews with members of supporting bands. We have certain staff members who will be taking interviews from the band members over AIM, YIM, MSN, or whatever that band member may have. If they do not have any chat programs then we will send them a series of questions through Myspace for them to answer. A small sample of the interview will then be posted on the forum, and the full interview will be put on the website for your viewing.

So if you love to talk about music, would like to advertise your band, look for new bands, or even just to learn about certain types of music, Then join Musicjust today!

Lol. Yeah. But then again, the members have to be active...if you have like 200 members...with like 20 active....it's better having 100 with 90 active...so it all depends :D

Yea - Its definitely tough - finding the right strategy all depends on what kind of a forum you run - and how well you advertise it.

Yea i was lucky to find Yurx which gave me the free .com domain - for 2500 points :/ But its worth it.

.com/.org/.net etc domains attract a lot more people than those that have 849538579584 letter long domains.

Let me know if you want help with that. before i used IPB I used phpbb so I know how the template system works. My last suggestion to you use when you can get IPB or VB because phpbb is prone to hackers

Well now i've been getting like, googlebots with 4 to 5 different ip's. >.<

And i pruned my members, deleting all spambots and inactive members with 0 posts

as for the post count. the posts stayed but the spam bots who were registered users turned into guests ^_^
