Starring: Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris, Justin Long, Dane Cook
Directed By: Rob McKittrick
Release Date: 10/07/2005
Synopsis:
A waiter for four years since high school, Dean has never questioned his job at Shenanigan's. But when he learns that Chett, a high school classmate, now has a lucrative career in electrical engineering, he's thrown into turmoil about his dead-end life. Dean's friend Monty is in exactly the same boat, but he couldn't care less. More concerned with partying, Monty is put in charge of training Mitch, a shy new employee. Over the course of one chaotic shift, Mitch gets to know the rest of Shenanigan's quirky staff: Monty's tough-talking ex-girlfriend, Serena, Shenanigan's over-zealous manager, Dan, and head cook Raddimus, who's obsessed with a senseless staff-wide competition known only as "The Game"... Featuring crazy busboys, unsanitary kitchen antics, and lots of talk about sex. WAITING... is a hysterical, behind-the-scenes look at the restaurant industry, and an affectionate ode to those lost, and thoroughly unproductive, days of youth.

Review:
I've seen this over and over again and it really doesn't get old. This movie represents all that is unholy and unruley in the restaraunt business, and boy is it entertaining. It gets pretty vulgar and nasty in this film; definitely not for anyone under 16. There's not so much of a stable plot, but I don't really think it matters in a movie like this. You get to experience the tension between the wait staff and cooks, the untolerable customers, and the after-work parties everyone attends. This movie will have you quoting it after it's done. I would definitely suggest watching it with your friends.
