We had a thread like this before but that was a while ago and I am sure some people have changed their nets, I have :)

So which internet do you guys have? Hope many of you aren't still on dial up

I am cable - 10mbps connection which is very fast download speeds, just hope my upload was as fast. I had DSL before which was 864kbps

Cable = Much Better

btw, T1 is 1.5 mbps, T2 is 8.0 mbps, and T3 is 45mbps for those that wondered

Pretty Sure I have Ethernet. I would have to check, though. It's either Ethernet or DSL

EDIT: Loel, I just found out neither. I have Cabel 1.5-3.0. Though, as soon as FiberOptic are ran through our neighorhood, we are getting that. Looking forward to Fiber Optic :D

the fiber optic lines can go around 30 mbps which isn't even T3 and I really doubt you had ethernet since only business have that these days lol

It was on the news about a week or 2 ago. They said that Britain was faster. According to them, you guys best internet is 4 meg and our best is 20 meg and Japan has the best, their best is 100 meg.

-Other... and very complicated.

I have, technically, DSL. As I am always connected and do not rely on a modem, hence not dial-up; however, due to the nature of living in Iraq, and having our signal bounced of off about 300 different satelites before it gets to us, and the ****ty quality of turkish ISPs (we're on the border of turkey), we have a connection equal to 76.3k... just barely more than the 56k connection you would get on a dial-up connection. And oh yea, they charge us $75 a month... for "DSL" at dial-up speeds....
