Web Hosting?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place...wasn't too sure where to put it.

Anyway, My brother and I are going to be buying domains.
Anyone heard of any good web hosting places? We were thinking 1and1.com, but then we read some bad reviews.

I need your help on who to host with!

web hosting will not buy you a domain lol

and 1and1 is horrible in my opinion - i have experience with them - just plain horrible service even though they are a huge company

i'll recommend namecheap.com because they give free whoisguard

also http://www.godaddy.com is good but no free whoisguard lol

Moniker.com is another and so is Netfirms.com

but stay away from 1and1 lol - they have transfer fees!!! 90% of other registrars don't

EDIT: I found out that I need Web Hosting AND 2 domains.
The hoster and the domains can be seperate, but preffered they be together.

for domain i'll recommend GoDaddy - you can go to them for hosting as well but I have no experience with them

for hosting you can go to Hostgator.com or Hastyhost.com

Hastyhost is decent and if you do sign up with them let me know, I know the owner :) Don't think I can get you discounts because Not even I got discounts when I signed up a while ago lol. But it is understandable since he has to pay for server.

Also for domains if you get two .net domains you can get them for $12 together which is $6 a piece - cheaper than most other places - this is at godaddy.

and with namecheap.com you get a free whoisguard if you wanna keep your identity a secret lol
