Mythos is a multiplayer computer role-playing game under development by Flagship Studios Seattle, a studio composed largely of ex-Blizzard North employees who were lead producers of the Diablo series. The game is similar in style to Diablo, utilizing a similar interface and perspective, extensive map and item randomization, and a high fantasy setting. Its development is led by Travis Baldree, creator of the action RPG FATE. The game started as an MMORPG intended to test the networking technology behind the multiplayer component of Flagship Studios' Hellgate: London, but has since grown into an independent game scheduled for a separate release. The game is currently in a closed beta testing stage, but is expected to advance into open beta in the coming months.

Mythos will not be sold in retail stores; it will be digitally distributed by Flagship Studios subsidiary Ping0 in North America and Europe. The game will be free to play and download, but optional in-game items will be available for online purchase to help finance the game.

Mythos shares the same core engine and technology that Hellgate: London uses. Features between the two games are often shared since they are so similar in technology.

Mythos no longer lets every player send Invites. They now rely on Gaming sites to Distribute Random amounts of Invites in Contest, Randomly picked or first come first serve. I just got an Invite from one.

they rely on gaming sites to distribute random invites? lol....why? why wasn't this gaming community given that privilege lol - meh..their loss

i haven't played any MMORPGs in a while - i usually get too hooked and lose a hell of a lot of time - lost a whole summer back in the day

They probably would give you invites to Hand out if you ask they're pretty cool about it.
Yeah I never did get THAT addicted to MMO games so I can keep playing them without wasting too much time, There more of a sit down play for 30 minutes here and there kinda thing for me. Cool thing about mythos is I can sit down and do atleast 2 quests in 30 min.

graphics looks pretty good, reminds me of another game i used to play..it was an RPG i think lol, but a while ago on my pc

I just sent my email in to get the beta..... Hopefully I get it. I also got the halo 3 beta and Call of Duty 4. Actually every time I entered for a beta I got it.

They are going to accept another wave of People for Beta in the next month, so you might. Until then keep a look out for Random sites giving invites out.
