Well, pretty sure my next paycheck im gunna be getting a 360, finally :P

At least it won't be like the past. EVERY TIME I have bought a console, a new one came out, and mine was obsolete. It happened every time. But now hopefully I will have a few years to go :)

Anybody recommend any games for it? I probably won't be able to buy any right away, just rent some, as the console alone will eat my savings.

im sure people will recommend halo so i'll do the same - and im not a huge 360 guy that knows all the good games, but Call of Duty 4 is also good for it

Yeah funny story, I had never touched a 360 controller in my life. A guy brought a 360 and halo 3 to school, and 4 of us played against each other, and the guy that brought it was good, but even I kept up to him. He said I had played before, but heck I hadn't.. it was just so similiar to a game I used to play online all the time for the ps2, Socom, that it was pretty easy to beat everybody :p

yeah i used to play Socom II - i played 360 before, my old neighbor before i moved used to have one and i used to play pgr with him, never played halo 3 though lol, played CoD4 but on PC

I loved playing Socom. Socom 1 sucks now, everybody cheats. 2 is still decent, I used to play that all the time. 3 is pretty fun.

I dunno. I was gunna get a PS3 but so many of my friends have a 360 that it would be better for me to get one so that I can play online with them :)

Depends on what you like.
But if you plan on getting Xbox live get Halo3 and Call of duty 4.

if your into Fighters you could pick up DOA4 pretty cheap and alot of people still play that(Beware it's a pretty hard fighter game) and Soul calibur 4 comes out pretty soon you should definately check that out.

I don't care who you are you need to pick up Ninja Gaiden2 that just came out.

Also Bioshock is a nice Shooter/RPG/Horror. Mass effect is a Really Good Action RPG if you want a good old fashion RPG Lost odssey is pretty good(I rented it).

Some other Shooters you might check out are Rainbow six vegas2 and Gears of War (which both are really fun on Live)

some I would just Rent are Devil may cry4(pretty hard), Assassin creed(Repetitive) and Crackdown(not much replay value)

Well, the point is to give input on what games he should get.
