Hello everyone, NooBe here, Have been a casual gamer for over 25 years...and need some advice. I've been a PS fan since the begining and was thinking about buying a Xbox 360 this weekend. As usual, I'm nervous about buying one and having the RRoD or some other problem with it. I'm not an On-Line Gamer, just enjoy playing games every once in awhile. I all ready have a PS3 but REALLY want to dive into the 360 world because of their game library...especially for the Gears of War and Fable series! I was planning on getting the recently dropped priced 20Gig but after researching it, it sounds as if you're guaranteed to have problems...is this true or overplayed console wars?
Apreciate the help/adviice!

go ahead and get the 20gb, if you get the RROD just call Microsoft and they'll replace it for free under the 3 yr RROD policy.

well they will replace it if it gets messed up but i heard it takes a while but it shouldn't be too bad - and later on you can upgrade the 20gb hard drive to a better one if you ever need it so you can go for it if you want

ya but Microsoft only lets you put Microsoft HDD's in and they charge a ton for a 120. That's why Sony was awesome in letting you put any 2.5" or use a external
The price for HDD made for 360 is 180 and is 120gb...highway robbery I tell ya.

lol...i won't argue with that and its just a way to make more money - can't really blame these companies for that - the whole free market economy is like that

lol you know whats funny? i've had my xbox 360 since they were first released and i havnt had the RROD it still works perfectly...although it used to stop the discs from coming out a couple of times which was weird :eek1:. Anyways you shouldnt be worried about the console. trust me, the number of games for the 360 will make you feel like you've been sitting under a rock (rock=ps3) for years hehe

The only problem I had with my 360 besides the RROD was when I wrecked my Quake 4 and DOA discs... It scrached them to death and I have no dea why it destroyed them
