I have never played the game. But I have read it is one of the best games ever. So, should I grab a DS for it?

No, but the rest of the DS library is worth buying one for.

Or you could grab the FF4/CT compilation for PS1 for $20. The DS version isn't getting upgraded graphics.

Although i'd rather have it on DS.
