A Chinese athlete cuts himself during an event and exposes not blood, but circuitry leading to the shocking discovery that some athletes are in fact government made communist robots.

Ok in all seriousness it's gotta be the Illegal drugs. Like the Tour De France you wonder sometimes if you're watching a pharmaceutical competition.
Or maybe a foreign journalist gets arrested for speaking out.
