For those of you who still haven't played this game, how big was that damn rock you've been hiding under!? It must have been the rock of Silent Hill, which eats this game and eats it again, amy sound impossible, but it's RE4.... just trust me. The game stars 1/2 of the protagonist duo from Resident Evil 2, Leon Kennedy. Ole Leon doesn't work for S.T.A.R.S anymore, but instead, the government. I mean who wouldn't want Leon protecting us from a freaking Muslim. if he can take care of zombies... Bin Ladden would go done like the Titantic. Anyways, the President's daughter has been kidnapped, and instead of sending in a whole squad of soldiers.... they send in Leon Kennedy: Zombie Slayer!

The gameplay has changed drastically in this game. Resident Evil has had a full actiony makeover, and that's a good thing. Sure we love the vintage older games, but this game... is awesome. You can realize this after your two escorts drop you off outsdie of a small village. Going into a desolate shack, a freaking crazed man tries to kill you. What do you do? Pop a cap in his ass! However easy that one guy may have been, try taking on hundreds. Upon trying to sneak my way into the village, you have to sneak... there are ALOT of people, one stupid guy saw me and scream "Bada loo goo froot jooce". Yeah I don't understand it either, but I knew it meant to run like hell. I was being ambushed by... every single person in that village. I ran into buildings and they followed and even threw up ladders as I accended to the top. The AI in this game is horrifically amazing! My blood was racing as I constantly killed countless people, only to realize.... I'm waisting my ammo they keep coming. I finally made my way to a sort of tower in the center of town. Though they threw torches at me, I was safe. Still my mind pondered "how the hell am I getting down?" Suddenly, a bell rings, and just like Tom Cruise and the rest of the civilians in War of the Worlds, everyone had to see what that was. Lucky for me, that was my drastic escape... I left there as quick as possible.

That was jsut an example of how intense this game is. It delivers on so many level that is scares me. The sound? It's great. Just hearing those people scream those gibberish words and talking to each other, and other monster's blood curling groans makes you wanna go hug your mommy. The weapons sound and even react like their real life counterparts. Capcom has done some research *Claps*. Speaking of weapons, they're plenty of weapons and even upgrades for these weapons. You can carry out your adventure in different ways every single time you play though this game. Will you take out that crazed villager with a regualr pistol? Or will you take him out plus his friends surrounding him with the one-hit KO Rocket Launcher. You decide.

The boss battles in this game are intense. Have you ever played God of War and you had this like sort of mini games? Well... they got the "idea" of those from this game. How much fun is it truly to shoot a orc-type thing in the run up his back and cut his insides out with a knife, all to a wonderfull pressing of A over and over. How about being able to press L and R when he is swinging at you to dodge it? May seem simple, but it's fun.

I'm sorry I'm ruining it, but yes you do find the President's daughter, Ashley. The game turns into a big escort mission, and I know your saying "BOO!! Escorts suck...." well you suck. Ashley may be a little girl, but she knows when the hell to get away. I put her in a dumpster when a horde of enemies where attacking, fought them for about 20 minutes then got her out of the dumpster. She even helps you with puzzles. What a great sidekick.

Enjoy, it will scare you. Yes... it will scare you. For those of you that have played it, you can probably agree with the score I give it, for those that haven't played it.... do it. The graphics are AMAZING for Gamecube, (yeah I like the Gamecube one better) the story is great, the characters great, the weapons great. What would I give this game?

9.0/10

I'm at 3-1 right now, but I disagree with your 9.5 and the official reviewers giving it the 2nd best PS2 rating, it's a good game no doubt but it's high 8 imo.

I played this for the Gamecube.... I never played it to much, always wanted to buy it. Just never thought about it when at the store.

I'd have to give the game about a 7.5. Mainly didn't like it because it was a little annoying with the Wii's motion sensor controls. I hated reloading with a passion.

I definitely can agree with your review score of 9.0.
Played it through many, many times on a PS2. Fantastic game!

The women with the chainsaws are the creepiest.
