SOTW 37 :: Enter Your Sigs :: Theme: Music

Welcome to SOTW 37 :-) This weeks SOTW Theme is Music :-), anything to do with music, such as guitars, microphones, singers, bands, ect... :twitcy: Have fun :-)

Only 6 entries. Maximum size of the sig is 450x150 - Yes a CHANGE. You must provide proof that you have made the sig. My Graphic program does not support PSD so please screenshot it for me :-)

You can't.
You have to have a screenshot of the layers.

look for something that says "prt scr" on your keyboard and click that - then go to your graphics program, and then right click and paste on a new layer

its like copy and paste - do you see anything on your keyboard saying prt scr? or print screen? click that and it takes a screenshot

you need to paste that somewhere, open a new file in gimp and click "ctrl+v" to paste or something - if you need more help with taking screenshots, open your own thread in the computer help section

i went through all the trouble to find those in my history and even re-made a sig for it

we need a screenshot of the layers - its easier to do that than show us all your resources - you can even send the file privately to random hero because he uses gimp as well - the file meaning the psd version of gimp - dont know what format it is but it saves the layers

Element, you're making it harder than it is.

1. Press the Prt Scn button the keyboard.

2. Press Ctrl + V (at the same time).

screw it! i try that and since i saved the sig as png it deltets the gimp version so nvrmind i just wont ever enter SOTW's

Now you're just over re-acting
Saving as a PNG does not delete the original unless you overwrited it. a Png will save it as a copy if the 2 files are in the same folder.

Now.
All you have to do is look at your keyboard.
If you are using a regular one, look for a button that says prnt scrn, prnt scr, or print screen. Click it.

If you are using a laptop, look for a FN button and a print screen button. while holding down fn, press print screen.

If you are using a mac, look for a print screen button.
hold down the apple button and click print screen.

Open GIMP.
Edit-Paste or ctrl-v if are a a savvy like me.
Save as a png. Now you have proof of all the layers you made.

we need to see the layers - you got the screenshot working properly - now just to get the layers going lol - the original gimp file should have that and you should always try to save your original gimp version and not go straight to png - doesn't take up a lot of space

you take a screenshot of the layers piece - it should be there

please look at the previous SOTW entries and look at their screenshots - you can see the layers - we have others that use gimp that have done this

lol....wow man - layer group and that layer are two differnet things but whatever - it says 5 layers up to, lets see if random hero accepts

its funny because now everyone is starting up classes again and everyone is in the mood to make sigs lol, and when everyone was on summer break, we had like 3 bad sotws lol
