I know this is a weird question, but I'm curious. What game would you consider the longest game ever made?

I have to say Oblivion. It would take months of straight playing to find and beat all the side quest. A lot of the quest are really hard too. I spent over 500 hours on it.

I'm not really sure, actually.
I guess I'd have to say GTA IV.
I don't play many RPG/strategy games.

I would say oblivion, I've spent 110 hours on it, and I haven't done every single quest, I've got 1000Gamer Score, but I need to extension (Shivering isles) for the extra 250 gamer score :-)

Oblivion is probably the longest I've played but I've defiantly have logged many more hours in other games such as sports/san andreas as they have infinite more replay value for me, but that's discounting Oblivion replay value for others..I mean there's several different character options to chose and have fun with, OT, ya Linux highly unlikely you'll get the same game time as SA, 4 just didn't do it for me and others and just feel unfinished compared to amount of stuff you can do in San Andreas and I couldn't come back for more after getting 2/3 of the pct finished

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is so far the longest game i've ever played. I'm about 15 hours into the game and theres been no plot events whatsoever

but probably the longest game ever made is elder scrolls 2 daggerfall. its like 50,000 actual miles of terrain or something. wicked huge.
