yeah, registration rates have gone through the roof over the past few months, not many are active and that's actually not a bad thing lol - as I said before, we are in need of a newer and better server, which is coming up in less than 2 weeks (hopefully) and if we had 500 people on at the same time, this server would have seen so many errors..it would have driven me nuts cuz I get an email every time there is a database or file error
wonder if we can pass 10k by our THIRD birthday this august.
edit: third birthday! growing up so fast..

What are we running right now?
My server is 110gb BW + 5gb of space, upgradeable at anytime for pennies.

that's shared hosting, we are going on a vps - so everything is dedicated, including space, bandwidth, cpu, and ram.
we currently have a dual core server, looking to upgrade to a quad core one.
-
Why do you need a quad core for running a forum? Quad's - I generally have used for running CS:S or L4D servers... lol.
And have you thought about pruning inactive users from over a year ago? D;

its not that, we don't have complete control on this server, moving to server where I set the limits - we have a limit on how many mysql database queries can run at a time, we max out at times, can't request current host to higher it because there are other sites on the same server, too risky - so when we are on our own server, we can do whatever the hell we want
