It seems consumers ain't afraid of no ghosts.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game, the action title based on the film franchise, has sold one million copies in North America, publisher Atari says in a statement.
The game was featured on seven platforms when it was released in June: Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP and Xbox 360.
Atari did not specify which version of Ghostbusters was most successful. However, a list of the top 20 games in June from market research firm NPD Group (featured here on Gamasutra) seems to indicate the Xbox 360 version has sold the best so far.
The game essentially serves as the sequel to film Ghostbusters II, Dan Aykroyd explains in this story. Aykroyd and Ramis penned the game's plot, which once again pits the Ghostbusters against groups of ghosts in downtown New York.
