    Question Intel hd graphics 3000

So i got a laptop not for the purpose of gaming but then i had a change of heart. I didnt get a gaming rig, toshiba satellite p755 s5120. It has intel mobile hd 3000 integrated graphics. Os i7. 8g ram.

Anyway, what games should run decently on it? Skyrim is out the window as i found out. And i dont want to waste my money on any more games that wont ply right. Anyone else have this problem?

Try this site out for games you're interested in.

Can You RUN It | Can I run that game | Game system requirements

I had an older model Toshiba Satellite laptop and ran WoW, League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Team Fortress 2 all on okay FPS on lower settings. Minecraft also ran fine.

Not sure how accurate that site is, but I know a few people that have used it, worth a shot. Those games are solid recommendations as well (league of legends and Team Fortress 2 are free, by the way, so definitely try them out).

Anyway OP, as you said, that's definitely not a gaming setup, and you're not gonna get much out of integrated intel graphics.

Found a couple benchmarks to give you an idea of the level of gaming performance you can expect to get out of it.

Review Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics solution Scroll down to the 'Benchmarks' heading.

    AnandTech Benchmarks

Seems they got 70 FPS out of Left 4 Dead (very high settings, even, but with a pretty low 1024x768 res)

24 FPS from Far Cry 2, 1336x768 res, medium settings.

25 frames from Bad Company 2, 1366x768 res, medium settings.

Of the 20 titles AnandTech tested (1336x768 res, medium quality), the average FPS was 21. So playing on low at that resolution would likely get you around 30 FPS.

1024x768 is as high as those little things go, which kinda sucks

It's iffy depending on the graphics card. I've got Intel HD Graphics (bottom of the line) which doesn't really say it's supported. As long as they have knowledge on all the parts you have, it's fairly accurate. It says I can't run any games at all lol but I do just fine.

You'll be good with the Red Alert ones (not super new, but they're within the last few years.) Past that you'll have to go digging for spec requirements.
